Lana from The Dental Office -

There are some times when I try to do something on my computer and my spyware pops up not allowing me to do what I was trying to do. I know what I am doing is ok, but my spyware doesn't see that. Does anyone else have these problems? Should I not pass the spyware and do the operation, or should I try reinstalling the spyware.

Comment #1 zoya from middle of america -

My spyware does the same thing at times. But it's probably a good thing because we then know it's very careful heh. But if you know you're safe you can always turn off the spyware for that certain thing but remember to turn it back on once you're done!!

Comment #2 Sam from Net -

I think your spyware should have a white list. Just add your program into the white list, if you are sure that it really can be added to the white list.

Comment #3 Suzie from Washington DC -

Oh, a whitelist, I never knew anything about that. So when the spyware pops up not allowing you to continue, is that where you find a button for a white list. Or, do you have to go into the program and add it there.

Comment #4 RiverQueen from Joisey, on the Continent -

Depends on what Spyware you use. I had a problem with one of my anti-Spyware programs when it decided it was smarter than I was. I would go where I knew it was safe and it would decide that it wasn't. I did product a whitelist but it even overode that. It was like HAL from 2001 Space Odessey. It was making decisions for me.

So I uninstalled it and re-installed an older version that wasn't quite so smart and that worked just fine.

So yes I would suggest you uninstall it and find another version of it or another anti-spyware program and try that for a while.

Talk about these programs taking over your computer. We think that we have control over these things, but we just don't.
